Coastal Sightseeing

Join us for a Coastal Sightseeing Tour as we paddle along Maui’s scenic coastline. You’ll get a different view of Maui from out on the water while standing on your paddleboard. Not only does the landscape give you a great view, but you’ll have an amazing view of the water from standing above it. The sound of your paddle cutting through the water is a zen-like experience, and what fun to spot some of the marine life along the way! You’ll most likely get to see the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle while out paddling, and you never know what other special visitor you may find, like the Hawaiian Monk Seal or a Manta Ray! We offer a South Maui and West Maui location. We can help you choose the best location for you based on your experience, weather, and ocean conditions.

SUP Snorkel

Snorkeling in Maui is one of the top things on everyones’ “to-do” list. And Paddle Boarding is one of our favorite things to do, so it only made sense to us to create this unique tour so you get to experience the best of both! You’ll get to snorkel in some spots that aren’t easily accessible from land. We’ll bring snorkeling gear, paddle boards, paddles, everything you need (we’ll even pack our GoPro to take some action shots of you on the water). All you need to bring is your sense of adventure! We’ll paddle amongst some beautiful coral formations, your guide will tell you all about the marine life that you will see as you snorkel amongst the reefs. This is a great tour to get a new perspective of the pristine Maui waters from above AND below!

Whale Watching

“Can I really see whales from my paddle board?” Of course you can! Your paddle board gives you a great viewing platform to see the whales, as you are standing up on the water! With the right conditions, and a little bit of stamina, we can paddle out to the deeper waters where the whales are hanging out and get an up close view of some of the whale activity, like pec slapping, breaches, and surface breaths. We may even try to listen for the whales song from under the water. While this tour is great for paddlers with all levels of experience, you should be prepared to paddle out into the ocean! Don’t worry — we can always stop to take a little rest.

*Whale watching tours are limited to December – April

Locations

Choose Your Stand Up Paddle Tour Location

On the Northwest side of Maui, you will find the gorgeous little area known as Kapalua Bay. While somewhat protected from the wind, this area of the island can be a challenging location for paddleboarders. The winter months in Kapalua are often grey and sometimes rainy, and there is the possibility of large surf. During the summer months there is less chance of rain, but usually strong winds.

We are usually successful at this location with most of our guests, but we like to be up front about the weather conditions that sometimes create challenges for guests! Our knowledgeable staff can steer you in the right direction for your lesson based on weather and your experience level. For guests staying on West Maui in Lahaina, Kahana, Kapalua, Napili or Kaanapali, we are happy to offer several West Maui options for your SUP tour.

For those staying on the Lahaina side of Maui, we are happy to offer a West Maui option for your SUP tour. Your tour starts off with a brief overview of the surrounding waters, where your guide will review the conditions with you and set a plan for where we’ll go! Your guide will also give you a few brief pointers on paddleboarding as a little refresher before you head out on the water. You will soon be paddling out in the beautiful Olowalu marine reserve, where you will get a different perspective of what this area looks like from above the water.

As we glide across the pristine clear waters you’ll enjoy stunning views of the West Maui Mountains and coastline, Kaho’olawe, Lana’i, and you may even get to stop at the turtle cleaning station! This trip is perfect for everyone, whether this is your first time paddling in the open ocean, to those more experienced SUPers who are new to the Maui waters. Let our team choose the perfect location for you lesson based on weather, tides and your experience level.

You will soon be paddling in the waters of Makena Landing, the heart of Turtle Town. As we glide across the pristine clear waters you’ll enjoy stunning views of Haleakala summit, Molokini Crater, Pu`u Olai, the Makena/Wailea coastline, and surrounding Hawaiian Islands. This beautiful area of Makena offers unique reef structures, lava tubes, underwater caves, and of course, turtles!

“This is the BEST guided adventure on Maui. We first were taught how to Stand Up Paddle on the beach, then we paddled out and explored. Our guide brought snorkel gear for us to use and we dove in and checked out the reef, so awesome!”
